dc.description.abstractPneumoperitoneum may be shown by abdominal ultrasonography. This case report illustrates the potential value of ultrasound in detecting free intraperitoneal free air in a patient with acute abdominal pain. We outline the ultrasonographic features of pneumoperitoneum and discuss the role of both conventional and cross-sectional imaging modalities in making this diagnosis.en
