Current literature studying pregnant teenagers and their antenatal educational needs has concentrated on subjects such as sex education, nutrition and various teaching methods. What many have neglected to discover are the topics of interest for pregnant teenagers, and if peer discussion groups appeal to them. This article will address these two issues and, furthermore, the preferred time and gestation of a Pregnant Teenagers' Program. A study was conducted, at the Gosford and Wyong Antenatal Clinics of the Central Coast Area Health Service, by voluntary questionnaires to 46 pregnant teenagers attending the clinics, to determine the antenatal educational needs of pregnant teenagers, and if their needs differed from adult pregnant women.en
